  Ron K. Brown is genuinely a charismatic and wonderful person and you can see that in his performances, as well as his choreography. I am blown away by how easily he moves between different idioms of African derived dance movements. He easily combines contemporary dance forms with authentic African dance movements in a masterful way. Katherine Dunham would have loved how he brings the popular dances as well as the ritual dances of the African Diaspora to the concert stage.

This is the beginning of the season for the Joyce. Looking ahead to the Spring when DanceBrazil and a new Cuban contemporary Dance Company perform at The Joyce Theater.
